1 ARMY JAWAN INJURED IN JK SUNJWAN ENCOUNTER

An army jawan got injured on Monday during gunfight between security forces and terrorists in Sunjwan’s Military station of Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports he was shot from a stand-off distance; an army sentry released fire after he detected a suspicious person near the garrison at the city’s edge. This occured after the Indian army successfully sent back three terrorists attempting to trespass across the border in Macchal and Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The suspicious movement was detected on 28th August evening that led to firing until 29th August morning.

Military officials reported: "Credible inputs were received from intelligence agencies, which was further corroborated by J-K Police regarding likely infiltration attempts from these areas. Based on the inputs, troops of the Indian Army, JKP and BSF laid ambushes on likely infiltration routes in both Machhal and Tangdhar sector".
